At 0815, with Skip's help, we launched into the Delaware River. Five minutes later we were airborne into a cloudless blue sky, but also into an 8 MPH headwind.
Our first stop was a pristine beach, 115 miles southwest of 9N2, located in Monie Bay. Situated 13 miles north of Crisfield MD on the Eastern Shore, it was by far the most scenic beach on our entire trip. The water was glassy, and the white sand undisturbed.
After fueling the J3, we headed 240 degrees toward Cape Charles, VA.
